The Society for Underwater Technology in the U.S. (SUT-US) is a branch of the international Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), a multidisciplinary learned society that brings together individuals and organizations with interests in underwater technology, ocean science, offshore engineering, and renewables.
Mission
SUT-US aims to:
- Advance the understanding of the underwater environment.
- Promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge across academia, industry, and government.
- Support innovation and education in subsea technologies and marine science.
Vision
To be a leading platform for collaboration, education, and professional development in underwater technology, fostering a diverse and inclusive community that drives sustainable ocean exploration and engineering.
They are also deeply involved in outreach, student engagement, and professional development through events, scholarships, and school programs
