Maximising Efficiency – Innovative Tools, Technology and Methods: Are They Working?

Call for Abstracts!

31 October, 2024

RETURN TO LISTINGS

The Society for Underwater Technology, THS:UKI Scotland Branch & The International Marine Contractors Association are pleased to announce the theme for our annual joint seminar taking place on 31st October.

Do new tools, technologies and work processes genuinely improve offshore project efficiency, or have they inadvertently introduced detrimental practices?
Whilst ‘this is the way it’s always been done’ often paves the path to obsolescence, are we innovating merely because we can and are we genuinely doing what we should? How many supposedly new and disruptive innovations are merely incremental improvements?

  • Do innovations address today’s challenges or are they creating new ones?
  • How do novel approaches address client needs and industry acceptance?
  • Does pursuit of continual improvement truly lead to efficiency?
  • Does standardisation reduce capex, lead time, and operational costs?
  • What contributes the most overall value?

We invite thought leaders and innovators to submit abstracts that shed light on the theme of efficiency. Please help us;

Share insights on groundbreaking products or processes that have been shown to improve project execution efficiency.
Reflect on any difficulties that you have encountered and how they were overcome.
Discuss whether the regulator and the industry at large, support innovation.

Join us in dissecting the essence of efficiency and its role in driving industry advancement.
