Young Professionals International
SUT’s Special Interest Group (SIG) on Young Professionals International brings together early-career members across SUT’s global branches to share knowledge, build networks and accelerate professional growth in underwater technology and marine offshore industries. It exists to connect local initiatives, such as SUT+ (UK), YES! (Perth) and Student Chapters/Learning Programmes (Houston) into a single international community, making it easier for young professionals to find events, mentors and opportunities wherever they are.

To become a member of the Young Professionals International SIG, individuals are required to be individual or corporate members of the SUT.

Early career professionals (0 – 10 years of experience)
- Scientists
- Technologists
- Surveyors
- HSE
- Project/commercial
- Policy
Across all disciplines in the underwater technology, marine science and offshore engineering sectors
YPI SIG members are required to be individual or corporate members of the SUT.

A “Young Professional” at SUT is anyone early in their career across engineering, science, operations, policy or business roles in underwater technology and the blue economy. Typically, students, recent graduates, apprentices/trainees and professionals in their first ten years in their specialism.
