Maritime UK South West and the Society for Underwater Technology invite you to participate and showcase your innovative technology at the Ocean Tech Expo 2024. Join us for two days of demonstration, discussion, and collaboration – promoting the latest innovations that promise to advance the landscape of marine technology.

The event is centred on in-water demonstration with live feeds to an audience of industry experts, operators, and decision-makers, showing how remote operations are now a reality.

Aims of the Event

• Increase trade and collaboration opportunities for the SW ocean economy
• Increase productivity and reduce the environmental impact via the deployment of SW ocean tech to ORE (in particular potential buyers in Celtic Sea FLOW), Oil and Gas and Offshore, Fishing and Aquaculture, Defence, Regulators and clean marine and maritime.
• The OTE will showcase the world-class ocean technologies and commercial opportunities from across the SW to buyers, collaborators and regulators from across the UK and beyond.
• Technology focussed on: MAS, environmental data collection, geospatial data, data security, big data management and clean maritime.
• To attract customers/collaborators and demonstrate the potential applications of such technologies to: ORE (in particular potential buyers in Celtic Sea FLOW), Oil and Gas and Offshore, Fishing and Aquaculture, Defence, and clean marine and maritime.
• USP: the ability to provide pre-filmed and live in-sea demos via the Smart Sound that will be pre-recorded and presented in the main lecture theatres.

Offshore Renewable Energy: Highlight innovations in sustainable energy sources for maritime applications, such as floating offshore wind, wave and tidal energy, and solar solutions.

Environmental Monitoring: Showcase solutions for real-time monitoring of marine ecosystems, including sensors, data analytics, and subsea monitoring and imaging.

Marine Robotics: Display Marine Autonomous Systems (MAS) and other robotic systems designed for marine exploration, maintenance, and research.

Aquaculture Technology: Showcase advancements in aquaculture technology, including smart farming solutions, automation, and data-driven approaches.

Energy Efficiency Solutions: Highlight technologies designed to enhance energy efficiency in maritime operations, including renewable energy integration, smart shipping solutions remote operations.

Defence: Demonstrate the latest technologies for defence applications and seabed warfare.

How to Participate

Submit a description of your demonstration and presentation, including its significance and potential impact on the marine technology sector to nick.swift@sut.org. We are looking for innovative technologies and novel approaches to its demonstration.
