Automation of equipment condition monitoring process presents an exciting opportunity to generate data driven insights that help improve reliability and availability of equipment that power our world. Join Dr Rotimi Alabi as he discusses how RAB-Microfluidics is pioneering the automation of the oil condition monitoring process with its microfluidic lab-on-a-chip technology to tackle the challenges of equipment reliability and availability.

Speaker Background:

Dr Rotimi Alabi, CEO, RAB Microfluidics

Dr Rotimi Alabi is the founder and CEO of RAB-Microfluidics, a company he founded off the back of his PhD at the University of Aberdeen to solve the machine reliability and availability challenges of businesses across many industries. During his PhD, Dr Alabi developed a microfluidic lab-on-a-chip technology which automates and digitises the process of oil condition monitoring. This permits real-time lubricating oil analysis for early diagnosis of engine failure.

Company Overview:

RAB-Microfluidics is a technology company that diagnoses early signs of failure in lubricated heavy machinery using its patented microfluidic lab-on-a-chip technology.  RAB-Microfluidics are advancing the evolution of maintenance strategies to secure equipment reliability, increase equipment effectiveness and availability through early diagnosis of machine failure across many industries, such as maritime, renewable wind, aerospace & defence, processing, and manufacturing. RAB-Microfluidics mission is to provide intelligent insights on machinery condition through data driven automation and digitisation solutions to achieve their vision of effectively transitioning businesses Condition-based Maintenance (CbM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategies.
