I am a Chemical Engineer by training, with almost 30 years of oil and gas field development experience.

I have specialized in flow assurance for nearly 20 years and am currently the Chief Flow Assurance Engineer at Woodside Energy Ltd. In Western Australia.  I have worked subsea and deepwater developments in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Brazil, Far East and Australasia.  I bring fluids knowledge, systems design and operability understanding together to determine subsea hardware requirements.

I have been involved with the Perth branch of the SUT for over 12 years and was the branch Chair for 2014 to 2016, seeing the branch through a challenging time financially.  I am an active member of the Perth branch, I continue to serve on various subcommittees including the AOG subsea conference and student scholarships.  I currently deliver the flow assurance portion of the SUT Subsea Awareness Course.  I am very supportive of the initiative for chartered engineering status for Subsea Engineers being pioneered in Perth jointly with Engineers Australia in 2019.

I am interested in the sustainability of the SUT as a learned society, the recognition of the areas of expertise of our members and the sharing of technologies across the various underwater groups which we touch.
