James Knipe
After completing his MSc in Pipeline Engineering, James started his career in Aberdeen working for a specialist consultancy developing methods of analyzing flexible flowlines. Various roles followed including a 9 month stint in Nigeria as Interface engineer on a large deepwater development, and project management roles on North Sea projects, mainly brownfield subsea gas tie-backs. James has been living in Perth for a little over 5 years and is a lead subsea engineer at Subsea Engineering Associates. Over the past few years James’ role has mainly been lead engineer on trunkline and transmission pipeline projects, from the design engineering phase through to construction.
