James McCawley
James McCawley graduated with a Bachelor of Geomatic Engineering from University of NSW in 1994 and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Hydrographic Surveying at the University of Plymouth in 1996. Later in 1996, James joined Fugro in Perth as a Hydrographic Surveyor and worked offshore as a Surveyor, Data Processor and Party Chief on a wide variety of projects in Australia and internationally.
In 2008, James was promoted to Project Manager with a focus on delivering Fugro’s construction support survey services to contractors such as TechnipFMC, Clough, Subsea 7 and McDermott for offshore and subsea installation projects. James is currently Fugro Australia’s Positioning and Construction Support service line manager and is responsible for delivery of these services in the Pacific region. He is also Fugro Australia’s (survey) Operations Manager, managing the team of personnel and equipment resources that are deployed across multiple projects.
