Michael Garvey
Michael is a Senior Metocean Engineer at Woodside Energy Ltd. Michael’s role as a Metocean Engineer embedded within an operating oil and gas company is to ensure metocean risks are understood and mitigated by the business. He is involved in all phases of hydrocarbon development – from exploration, early project feasibility through to design and operations. He has worked on most aspects of metocean engineering but takes particular interest in the analysis and interpretation of measured data. He studied Environmental Engineering at UWA, graduating in 2004. Prior to joining Woodside, he worked at Shell Australia for 5+ years and prior to that worked in the consulting sector (primarily for oil and gas) since graduation.
