Before COVID-19 put an end to regular face to face trade shows many of us were impressed to see the prototype ‘Freedom’ AUV from Oceaneering on display at Subsea Expo in Aberdeen. The advanced vehicle travels as an AUV from subsea charging stations to the work place structure, where it can be operated as an ROV using blue laser communications.
