The Blue Economy offers practitioners a long and varied career path, however attracting and retaining talent is key.

The SUT has established the SUT+ specifically created for developing professionals, graduates and students by developing professionals working in the subsea industry. The aim is to increase newcomers’ engagement and understanding of the underwater technology and related sectors and markets. SUT+ provides a platform to develop both valuable industry knowledge outside the traditional office environment and a personal professional network

The SUT works closely with learning institutions to tailor their undergraduate courses and post graduate research to ensure that strong academic learning is combined with industry relevant knowledge and expertise to ensure that developing professionals can thrive in the workplace.

In this session, SUT will share the experiences from the SUT+ talent pool, outlining activities undertaken and the invaluable benefits gained. In addition, speakers from local institutions will share views on how industry and academia work together to enable and maintain the talent pipeline.
