Commander Chris Lade Royal Navy (Retd) joined the Royal Navy in 1980 commanding HMS Middleton in 1994 and the RN Diving School 2004. He participated in Mine Countermeasures Operations in the Arabian Gulf during the Iran/Iraq War and worked closely with the US Navy during MCM Operations in the Second Gulf War. Now retired and working for Saab Seaeye in the development of unmanned underwater vehicles he remains committed to improving the efficiency and safety of Underwater Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Mine Countermeasures.
