High-performance coatings for corrosion protection in sub-sea, underwater & offshore environments

This talk will provide a brief overview of the various technologies that are in use for protecting assets in sub-sea, underwater and offshore environments. We will then dive into further detail regarding coatings specifically designed for use with subsea production facilities in Oil & Gas installations, which face the additional challenge of operating in a high temperature and pressure environment, with water depths of up to 3000m and temperatures of 90°C and beyond

Started in 1995 in the   coating industry and worked in   protective, industrial and   aerospace coatings R&D   functions and for the last 3 years in   different marketing roles within Marine & Protective coatings. Formulated new products, led technology development, supported local and global business as Technical Manager, contributed to ISO standard development and worked in different locations in the UK, The Netherlands and China. Current focus on market insights, market plans and range support for the global O&G Upstream market and Passive Fire Protection range working closely with key account management and regional P&L in AkzoNobel
