Thursday 4 September | 11:50-12:20 | Offshore Wind Theatre, P&J Live

As the offshore wind energy industry moves from the mature shallow fixed bottom developments to deeper waters and floating structures the SUT is best (uniquely?) placed to help with the many challenges with setting standards ,training and sharing of expertise as set out in this session.

Our SIG for Offshore Site Investigation sets the industry standards for the extensive site characterisation now required for floating turbines and delivers world class hands-on training courses.

Similarly our Offshore Wind course gives a useful insight to the industry from experts on surveys/permitting through to construction and Operations/IMR. All combined with site visits. Our established Subsea Awareness course covers SS IMR.

Safely mooring floating structures with dynamic power cables has many similar challenges to the oil and gas sector, we encourage knowledge sharing with our focussed technical seminars on this challenging area.ctive”
