OSIGp invite you to the 2022 Awarding Ceremony

This is a competition event where students, young academics, and early-careers professionals aged 30 years and under, give a 7-min presentation about their research or contributions in the advancement of knowledge in and practice of the offshore 4Gs – Geophysics, Geology, Geomatics and Geotechnical Engineering.

At the end of the night, the OSIGp Committee will determine the best presentation who will then be awarded the “OSIGp Prize”.

PROGRAMME:

  • 5.30pm – 6.00pm: Registration
  • 6.00pm – 7.00pm: Presentations
  • 7.00pm – 8.00pm: Networking over drinks and finger food

FINALISTS:

  1. Alessandra Rosati from Sapienza Università di Roma on “Load-time failure envelopes for suction caissons under sustained vertical loading.”
  2. S. Farid Fazel Mojtahedi from University of Melbourne on “Assessment of offshore geo-hazard and failure prediction using AI-ML.”
  3. Thien An Nguyen from The University of Western Australia on “Wind turbines foundation: from wind to earthquake.”

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Professor Mark Randolph

He’ll be presenting on “A Lifetime of Offshore Geotechnics – Career Reflections and Lessons Learned”
