Fiona Chow
Fiona graduated in Engineering at Cambridge University in 1989 and joined Arup Geotechnics in London for two years before undertaking MSc and PhD at Imperial College London. Her prize-winning PhD research led to the development of the ICP design methods for offshore piles that have been incorporated into API and ISO standards and triggered the development of other CPT-based pile design methods. She worked with the Geotechnical Consulting Group London for seven years before moving to Perth where she joined WorleyParsons, becoming Global Director for their Geotechnical Consulting Practice. Fiona joined Woodside in 2014 as their Chief Geotechnical Engineer. She is a member of the ISO/API Committees for Offshore Foundations and leads their subgroup on foundation reassessment and pile ageing
