Matt Lancien
Matt holds a double degree in Mechanical and Welding Engineering from the University of Metz and the French Welding Institute. He started his career in Paris as a Welding Engineer but has spent most of his time assigned to offshore pipelay vessels and fabrication yards in West Africa and The Middle East. He has worked on large EPCI projects ranging from shallow to deep water with an array of complex CRA and carbon steel pipelines, risers and subsea structures. He has also worked twice in Antarctica on the French research station. He arrived down under in 2010 where he first worked on the design and construction of 2 large diameter onshore pipelines in Queensland. He is currently working in Perth as a Materials & Welding Engineer for SPEC providing specialised engineering solutions and advice to Operators and Contractors for the design, procurement, fabrication and offshore installation of subsea and pipeline projects.
