Chris Selman
Chris Selman is a principal corrosion and integrity management consultant at Wood PLC, specialising in oil and gas system corrosion modelling, material selection, risk assessment and corrosion and integrity management programmes. Currently based in Perth, his career began Mobil in the UK, followed by periods with QCL International, Taywood and WorleyParsons in Australia before joining Ionik Consulting, which became Wood Group Integrity Management, then Wood Specialist Technical Solutions. Chris has been involved in the corrosion and materials design in most of the major capital projects in WA, including Pluto, Gorgon, Wheatstone, Scarborough, Crux, Ichthys and Macedon. When not combatting corrosion in the oil patch, Chris is involved in an international effort to combat oil pollution from corroding World War II shipwrecks.
