Jeff Baker
Graduated from Southampton University in 1982 with an Honours Degree in Ship Science. Has 25 years experience as Project Manager for new construction Validation, Verification, Classification and Certification Services Contracts, dealing with Fixed and Floating Offshore Installations, pipelines and risers in UK, Australian, NZ, Nigerian and Brazilian waters. In Australia, following an assignment for LR during 1992/3 on the Griffin Project in Melbourne, Jeff relocated from London to Perth in early 2004 to manage LR’s involvement in the Enfield Project and subsequently the Angel, Vincent and Van Gogh Projects. In 2007 he was appointed Lead Surveyor for Oil and Gas Services and, following the amalgamation of LR’s Offshore, Onshore and Risk businesses into one Energy business in 2008 and a further restructuring into global streams, Jeff is now Energy Compliance Technical Manager for Australasia.
