Karthicase received Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’sDegree with Honours from University Malaya in 2001 and then he completed Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same University in 2016.He has over two decades of industrial experience, and out that, close to 17-years working for FMC Technologies/TechnipFMC in the field of subsea product engineering, specializing in Subsea Tree system design, manufacturing, system integration testing, offshore drilling and completion, subsea testing and SPS system engineering. Areas of expertise include Subsea Tree hardware design engineering and subsea drilling and completion. Designed the flagship Shell Prelude Full Bore EVDT Tree and associated EVDT tools suite and vastly contributed to the development of the idea of Light Weight Tree, hence developing TechnipFMC’s Subsea 1.5 Tree design.Projects led in the past include Shell Gumusut-Kakap-Ph1, Shell Prelude, Anadarko-Prosperidade/Golfinho, Woodside GWF-Ph1 Tidepole Drilling and Completion, Shell PSCR IMR and COPA BUIW Drilling and Completion. Strong involvement in legacy projects such as Woodside Vincent, Woodside Chinguetti, Woodside Xena/Pluto and Shell STAR.Currently, working as Project Engineering Manager for TechnipFMC’s Front-End and System Engineering organization based in Perth, supporting as SPS System Engineer/Lead and Front-End Study Manager for EPCI Projects such as Shell Crux, Woodside Lambert West FEED and Chevron MSO.
