Steve Buchan
Steve Buchan qualified as a Mechanical Engineer, before studying Physical Oceanography, and spending 40 years in a Metocean Consultancy. Probably uniquely – he has been involved in the development of operational and/or metocean design criteria for every operational Oil & Gas facility on Australia’s North West Shelf, from Exmouth to Darwin. He has also been involved in many international projects.
His experience covers all aspects of Physical Oceanography, from field measurement design, to data QC and interpretation and subsequent application to numerical modelling, statistical analysis and metocean design criteria determination.
