John Willcocks

John has over 25 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with the last 20 years being in the subsea sector.  John has been based in the UK and Norway, with the last 11 years in Perth.  He is currently the WGK Australian Pipelines Manager. Responsible for ensuring technical and commercial delivery of the functions works scopes, team structure, proposals, technical and business development. Experience and competence from initial field conceptual design, FEED, detailed design, through to procurement, site fabrication and operational support activities. He has fulfilled the role as project manager on two Detailed Design projects, and been the PM and lead engineer on a number of conceptual / pre-engineering subsea pipeline/development and costing studies.    Competence and design experience within the core areas of pipeline engineering and very familiar with the main pipeline design codes and recommended practices.

Experience in developing subsea Inspection, Maintenance & Repair activities (including the development of risk based inspection programs).  The early part of his career was mainly within Safety, Risk and Reliability engineering for both onshore, offshore installations and subsea pipelines.  Participated in the Tartan Alpha QRA for the safety case.  Dropped Object studies, Consequence analysis etc.
