SUT+ What is a Chartered Marine Technologist with SUT, and is this something that will be of benefit to you?

Friday 13 November 2020 12:00 PM GMT

SUT is licensing the ability to offer registered Professional status as Chartered Marine Technologists for individuals who satisfy the relevant academic and experience requirements, from the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST).

In this webinar, SUT CEO Steve Hall will explain the benefits of professional registration, what the basic requirements are, and how to embark on the process. As part of SUT+, early career marine technologists may wish to consider this as something that gives them a competitive edge in the industry, commits them to long-term CPD, and can be of benefit as they progress through their career, particularly for those who lack a PhD but do have a Masters degree.

In the future SUT may also license Chartered Marine Engineer and Chartered Marine Scientist from IMarEST. We’ve co-developed the scheme with our friends at the Marine Technology Society and the CMarTech status will be recognised across IMarEST, SUT, & MTS.
