Frequently asked membership questions:

Individual:

Q1: How do I change my personal details?
A: Click on member login area (yellow icon with head symbol) at top right of screen. You will need your Username and Password.

Q2: How do I access my membership login?
A: You would have received details when you membership was approved. If you do not have these please contact Jane Hinton

Q3: Why does the online membership form display in UK£?
A: The online form can be used to pay Student and Individual Membership through the head office in the UK in £’s.

Q4: Can I pay my membership in AU$?
A: Yes, for new members download the membership form on the Membership tab and return to Fiona Allan . For existing members an invoice will be sent out from the Perth Branch at the beginning of July each year, contact Fiona Allan with any queries.

Q5: Why do I receive SUT emailouts twice?
A: You may be on our contacts database as well as the individual database. To be removed from the contacts list please email perthevents@sut.org

Q6: How can I unsubscribe from emailouts?
A: Please email perthevents@sut.org with unsubscribe in the subject line.

Q7: What’s in my initial membership pack?
A:  Membership certificate, membership card plus covering letter, latest Journal, UT2, Publications Catalogue, list of Corporate Members, Diary of Events.

Q8: Am I a member through my organisation?
A: If your organisation is a Corporate Member all technical employees can attend our events at the member rate. Click here to view a list of our Corporate Members.

Q9: I am in Australia but not based in Perth can I still join?
A: Yes, you will receive 20% discount on Individual Membership. Please contact Fiona Allan.

Q10: I am a retired member do I receive a reduced rate?
A: Yes, you receive 50% discount. See Individual Membership form for details.

Corporate:

Q11: How do I change my organisation’s named members?
A: The Main Contact can login in to member area with login details received with welcome pack. If you do not have these please contact Jane Hinton.

Q12: Why does my organisation receive multiple publications?
A: All the named members receive the publications and it is up to them to distribute the information to colleagues.

Q13: How does my organisation renew their Corporate Membership?
A: An invoice will be sent from the Perth Branch to the primary contact in your organisation in early July each year.

Q14: Is there a difference between Corporate Membership in Perth and other branches?
A: If your organisation is a Corporate member in Perth you are eligible to attend any events worldwide at member rate.

Q15: I do not wish to become a member but wish to receive SUT event mailouts?
A: We can add you to our contacts database to receive our event information. Please email with your details perthevents@sut.org.

Q16: I am an IMarEST member do I receive reduced membership rates?
A: You receive 10% discount. Please contact Fiona Allan.
